It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Judy Marshall on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Judy spent many years working in the leasing business and built a solid reputation for her knowledge of municipal equipment and lease financing, with emphasis on fire services. She was a frequent speaker for city councils, boards of selectmen and aldermen, school committees, budget and planning committees and fire and school districts. She was also an active member of the Fire Chiefs' associations in all six New England states, as well as actively participating on both Boards of Directors of the New England Association of Fire Chiefs and the New England Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.

Judy made many friends in municipalities all over New England. One of the most touching rememberences her husband received was from a retired fire chief who cut right to the heart of the matter:

"Please take comfort in knowing that hundreds of thousands of people were made safer because of Judy's work. That is a legacy that you can be proud of."

Judy will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
